PROPOSAL:
Problem:
An increasing number of criminal incidents continue to be
reported where city residents are attacked, ambushed, robbed,
raped and /or brutalized on the very streets they live.
For peace-of-mind and sanctity of the community, all city
residents deserve a safe haven at the very least in and
around their homes. Communities and block associations are
currently grappling with this problem--looking to the leadership
of the municipalities and governing bodies they elected
to serve them.
Solution:
To provide a dedicated, neighborhood-wide safety zone for
residents, Napco Security Systems, Inc. has specially-developed
audible and visual "Safe-Block(tm) " Security Stations with
an accompanying network of individually-reporting wireless
Personal Safety Alarm Panic Transmitters for each of the
block's residents.
Using
its advanced, proprietary wireless security technology,
the Napco Safe Block (tm) System will actively and individually
protect participating residents in their neighborhood with
blockwide-visible strobe, audible voice alert siren and
initiated police-response via remote central-alarm monitoring.
Participating
residents will be provided an advanced personal panic device,
for daily use as an "easy-to-find" keychain or wearable,
pendant panic-button. This state-of-the-art Napco wireless
transmitter, is both durable and waterproof and features
a single-button operation which is activated upon attack
or threat of attack. Ideal for all persons, including sight-or
dexterity-impaired residents, depressing the central, oversized
button from anywhere on the protected block or within the
block's building's lobbies, as with push-ins, will instantly
trigger the local base stations' voice alert siren and strobe
and report to the remote central monitoring station with
the exact identity of the threatened resident and their
block location for immediate police response.
In
the event of the personal panic buttons' activation, the
blaring outside siren says, "Intruder on the block; call
the police!" and the interruptive strobe will scare away
a reported attack at the outset, thwarting the criminal
action and harm to the Safe-Block participating resident-
affording a brand new level of personal protection to block
residents who fortunately call this street their home. In
addition to the panic buttons, each block will have warning
signage posted about the protected block, to warn-off criminally-inclined
persons, identifying the block as a protected 'Safe Block™.
This
type of signage has been proven to be an effective deterrent,
actually moving the criminal element and their activity
elsewhere.
